BAGP Educational Bursary
About the Bursary
The BAGP educational bursary has been established to support attendance at BAGP virtual educational events. Up to 10 bursaries (5 for UK members and 5 for overseas members) available per educational event/course except the week long course which has a limit of 2 bursaries (1 UK member and 1 overseas member). Members can apply for bursaries multiple times/year but to ensure bursaries help our wider membership there is a limit of receiving one bursary/year/member.
Who is eligible?
Trainee, non-consultant grade BMS, consultant BMS and early career consultants in first five years. Applicants should be Members of the BAGP who have been in membership for a minimum of 6 months.

Application deadline
31st March (Extended from 1st March to 31st March) ( for Annual BAGP meeting and Week Long course) and
31st July ( for Autumn and Spring meetings)
Notification of decision on the bursary application:
1st May ( for Annual BAGP meeting and Week Long course) and
1st September ( for Autumn and Spring meetings)
Application process
The following documents will need to be emailed to info@thebagp.org
- Covering letter
- 200-250 word application explaining justification of seeking the bursary including insights and personal development gain from attendance at the BAGP virtual educational event/course and what funds are available from members own institutions for study leave.
- One page CV of the principal applicant.
Following attendance at the BAGP meeting, successful applicant will be expected to write a 200 word reflective note for the BAGP annual newsletter regarding their experience with the BAGP bursary.
